About Me

Hi, my name is Kieran Manning. I am from Walnut Creek, CA but I am currently living in Corvallis! I am majoring in earth science with an ocean option. Following college, I hope to do ocean research and travel the globe. In my free time, I love to spend time outdoors. I love hiking, skiing, camping, biking and just being in nature. I also like listening to old music like the Kinks, ABBA, The Who and other bands from the 60s & 70s. One interesting fact about me is that I raise puppies for an organization called Guide Dogs for the Blind. In this picture, I am standing with my current puppy in training, Holland, at a corn maze which I took her to. 

    

This term, I would like to learn more about podcasts as I just recently started to get into them during quarantine. My primary sources of online communication are Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok, but I also use many other forms of social media every once in a while. I have never taken a communication course or even been taught much about communication at all so I am very excited to learn lots of new information. One goal I have for this course is to improve my online presence, especially with speaking in front of a camera or recording my voice.
